PREVENTION
- Treatment for sensitivity. Sensitivity occurs when the enamel that protects the teeth loses part of its thickness, or when dental tissue is exposed to the oral cavity. There are different ways to treat this condition, which will depend on the tissue that is affected.
- Sealant application in pits and fissures. Procedure that is carried out on the surface of infant molars and permanent molars and premolars, which serves to avoid the accumulation of food in the pits and fissures and reduce the risk of cavities.
- Guards for bruxism. They serve to minimize the unconscious movement of clenching and grinding the teeth. The forces released by bruxism not only affect the jaw joints, but could also damage the chewing muscles and teeth.
- Prophylaxis. It is a procedure in which the dento-bacterial plaque formed in hard-to-reach areas is removed. It is highly recommended to do it at least once a year and in some cases every 6 months.
- Ultrasonic dental cleaning. It is carried out through an electrical device that has the ability to apply ultrasonic vibrations through a fine metal tip to remove the tartar that is lodged in the teeth. It is important to take into account that this treatment must be done every six months or at least once a year.
